Good morning my friends and welcome to day 3 & 4 of our Christmas adventures!
Saturday and Sunday were lazy days. Basically i spent the weekend setting up my blog which, as you can see, is in a pretty basic state right now. But I am working on it! To be honest, this whole process really makes me giddy with excitement!
Our Christmas activity for the weekend was, of course, this
Our letters to S-A-N-T-A!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, the decisions that had to be made! The letters were written, the envelopes were sealed and they are now on their way to the North Pole!
The rest of our weekend was spent planning for this very busy season, cooking and compiling a list of Christmas books! As you know from my Instagram feed, my heart is in two genres: historical fiction and cozy mysteries. So I thought in the next few days, I could give you my ideas for some books to have handy during the holidays. And, remember, you don’t have to do everything perfectly. Christmas is not about stretching ourselves to exhaustion…it is about the memories that we make with our families. The best gift we can give them is our relaxed, joyful presence and not a perfectly roasted turkey… So curl up with your favourite blanket and read!
Come on, tell me, is there anything better
than a holiday mystery set in a small snowy village? 🙂
Our first choice, of course, couldn’t be any other than our beloved JESSICA FLETCHER, the detective from MURDER SHE WROTE!
Our mystery-writer detective decided to spend her cozy Christmas in Cabot Cove, Maine, where “America’s most traditional Christmas celebration” takes place! But when a farmer dies…“it’s beginning to look like a lot like murder…”!!!!!
I loved the television series as a kid and i absolutely love these little, cozy mystery books!
